Difficulty upgrading from MapSuite 9 to 10

I have followed the Map Suite version 10 upgrade guide and I am running into an error on a call to ThinkGeo.MapSuite.Shapes.SqlTypesGeometryHelper.MakeValid(baseShape)

Error:
“Looks up a localized string similar to To use this method, you have to reference Microsoft.SqlServer.Types.dll, and copy folder[Install-Path]\Developer Reference[Product]\SqlServerTypes_X64(SqlServerTypes_X86) to System32\Map Suite . folder for x86/x64 platform.”

I have removed all references to the version 9 core, and I did not expect to need system directory dependencies with this new version. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
