I am unable to geo code this address:

709 East Route 66, Glendora, CA

It geocode the address in Lousiana

any ideas?

Would you let us know which match mode you are using? Exact or Fuzzy?  Would you please try to add the zip code and then search? the text would be like "709 E Route 66, Glendora, CA 91740"

In my test, I try the geocoder 5.0 with 5.0 data, but didn’t get any street results, but if I use the above text in geocoder 7.0 with 7.0 data, then I can get a result like below and this is closer with the location from Bing map:
