Not Licensed for Runtime in xamarin.ios

Hi all,
We are building an ios app which the client deploy via a Citrix zenmobile platform to their ios devices. While doing so they repackage the app and also rename the app and they also change the bundle id in Info.plist file. After they deploy the app they see a watermark; “Not Licensed for Run Time”.
Please note that Xen mobile platform might restrict the internet connection, therefore if the mapsuite needs to connect to the internet to validate the license server, we need to know the URL of the server.

Because they are repackaging the app and renaming the bundle id, we have also tried to provide them with an additional license file(.mapsuitelicense) with the renamed bundle id which also did not work!!

If the component needs to connect to internet to verify the license, they need to know the URL of the server, or we would appreciate if some offline license activation is possible.
If however, some other issue is there please let us know.

P.S: we have purchased the license.

Kind regards,
Syed

Hi Syed,

Thanks for your information.

  1. For IOS we don’t have server validation, it is file validation, so please focus on the license file.
  2. You need to use the installed bundle id(Modified bundle id) to build the license file, and put it back to the Assets folder, and make sure set the “Build Action” as “BundleResource”. Please check all steps follow our guide: http://wiki.thinkgeo.com/wiki/map_suite_runtime_license_guide_for_mobile
  3. We hadn’t tested with the Citrix Xenmobile platform, if you follow all steps in guide but still failed please let us know.

Regards,

Ethan

Hi,
Thank you for your reply. Can you please tell me if MapSuite accesses any license server to validate the license. If so we could ask them to free the url on their secure pipeline.
Regards,
Syed

Hi Syed,

Just like item 1 mentioned, we don’t access license server for IOS.

Ethan

Hi Ethan,
Sorry missed that, thanks.

Hi Syed,

Any question please let us know.
