What are the TIF compression available?

Hi,

My client would like to know what are the available TIF compression that can be opened by mapsuite.
From my experiment:

  • Packbits works pretty well
  • JPEG doesn’t work
  • LZW and Deflate are very slow
  • LZW 24 is very very slow

Can you give me an exhaustive list of the TIF compression that can be opened ?

Hi Judicael_ribault,

The compression type for tiff in this table: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TIFF#TIFF_Compression_Tag should be supported by our map.

But maybe some type support have some problem, so if you found any type don’t works for example the JPEG compression for tiff please sent us your file, and our developer can see where is the problem and whether we can solve it.
