# DynamicIsoLineLayer slow paint with large dataset

I&nbsp;am&nbsp;using&nbsp;DynamicIsoLineLayer&nbsp;to&nbsp;display&nbsp;data&nbsp;from&nbsp;a&nbsp;.5x.5&nbsp;degree&nbsp;grid.&nbsp;&nbsp;The&nbsp;layer&nbsp;creates&nbsp;pretty&nbsp;quickly&nbsp;(returns&nbsp;from&nbsp;the&nbsp;creation&nbsp;routine&nbsp;and&nbsp;adds&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;overlay)&nbsp;but&nbsp;it&nbsp;takes&nbsp;several&nbsp;minutes&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;lines&nbsp;to&nbsp;paint.&nbsp;&nbsp;I&nbsp;don’t&nbsp;have&nbsp;any&nbsp;problem&nbsp;with&nbsp;this&nbsp;given&nbsp;the&nbsp;large&nbsp;data&nbsp;set,&nbsp;but&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;wondering&nbsp;if&nbsp;there&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;way&nbsp;to&nbsp;get&nbsp;the&nbsp;status&nbsp;of&nbsp;this&nbsp;painting&nbsp;so&nbsp;I&nbsp;could&nbsp;update&nbsp;a&nbsp;progress&nbsp;bar?  
  
I&nbsp;am&nbsp;essentially&nbsp;using&nbsp;the&nbsp;Fixed&nbsp;Breaks&nbsp;code&nbsp;from&nbsp;this&nbsp;example:

&nbsp;You&nbsp;can&nbsp;vote&nbsp;this&nbsp;enhancement&nbsp;to&nbsp;[helpdesk.thinkgeo.com/EnhancementTracker](http://helpdesk.thinkgeo.com/EnhancementTracker).&nbsp;This&nbsp;captures&nbsp;the&nbsp;enhancement&nbsp;request&nbsp;and&nbsp;provides&nbsp;visibility&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;customer&nbsp;letting&nbsp;them&nbsp;know&nbsp;that&nbsp;the&nbsp;enhancement&nbsp;is&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;list&nbsp;somewhere&nbsp;and&nbsp;that&nbsp;popularity&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;enhancement&nbsp;helps&nbsp;set&nbsp;the&nbsp;priority&nbsp;of&nbsp;when&nbsp;the&nbsp;enhancement&nbsp;would&nbsp;be&nbsp;added&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;product.&nbsp;This&nbsp;option&nbsp;doesn’t&nbsp;carry&nbsp;any&nbsp;cost&nbsp;for&nbsp;you.&nbsp;&nbsp;
