# Error testing the MapSuiteExplorer source code

Hi&nbsp;MapSuite&nbsp;Team.

Congratulations&nbsp;for&nbsp;your&nbsp;great&nbsp;job.&nbsp;In&nbsp;past&nbsp;days&nbsp;i've&nbsp;downloaded&nbsp;the&nbsp;source&nbsp;code&nbsp;MapSuite&nbsp;Explorer&nbsp;for&nbsp;Desktop&nbsp;Edition&nbsp;&nbsp;today&nbsp;i&nbsp;try&nbsp;to&nbsp;run&nbsp;it&nbsp;from&nbsp;the&nbsp;develop&nbsp;environment&nbsp;and&nbsp;throws&nbsp;me&nbsp;this&nbsp;error:

{"No&nbsp;se&nbsp;puede&nbsp;cargar&nbsp;el&nbsp;archivo&nbsp;o&nbsp;ensamblado&nbsp;'NetTopologySuite,&nbsp;Version=1.7.3.31740,&nbsp;Culture=neutral,&nbsp;PublicKeyToken=f580a05016ebada1'&nbsp;ni&nbsp;una&nbsp;de&nbsp;sus&nbsp;dependencias.&nbsp;El&nbsp;sistema&nbsp;no&nbsp;puede&nbsp;hallar&nbsp;el&nbsp;archivo&nbsp;especificado.":"NetTopologySuite,&nbsp;Version=1.7.3.31740,&nbsp;Culture=neutral,&nbsp;PublicKeyToken=f580a05016ebada1"}

(in&nbsp;english&nbsp;it&nbsp;says&nbsp;that&nbsp;can't&nbsp;found&nbsp;&nbsp;the&nbsp;file&nbsp;or&nbsp;assembly)&nbsp;it&nbsp;happens&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;"Mainform.Designer.cs"&nbsp;instruction&nbsp;:

this.winformsMap1&nbsp;=&nbsp;new&nbsp;ThinkGeo.MapSuite.DesktopEdition.WinformsMap();

Don't&nbsp;know&nbsp;what&nbsp;could&nbsp;be&nbsp;wrong&nbsp;i&nbsp;set&nbsp;the&nbsp;references&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;DLLs&nbsp;(MapSuiteCore&nbsp;and&nbsp;DesktopEdition)&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;mapsuite&nbsp;installation&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;NetTopologySuite&nbsp;is&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;directory&nbsp;and&nbsp;has&nbsp;the&nbsp;version&nbsp;indicated&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;error&nbsp;message,&nbsp;also&nbsp;i&nbsp;add&nbsp;the&nbsp;reference&nbsp;to&nbsp;NetTopology&nbsp;but&nbsp;it&nbsp;didn't&nbsp;work&nbsp;(so&nbsp;i&nbsp;removed&nbsp;the&nbsp;reference)&nbsp;i&nbsp;read&nbsp;in&nbsp;other&nbsp;thread&nbsp;something&nbsp;about&nbsp;the&nbsp;MapExplorer&nbsp;was&nbsp;developed&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;Services&nbsp;Edition&nbsp;is&nbsp;it&nbsp;the&nbsp;error's&nbsp;origin?

Can&nbsp;you&nbsp;give&nbsp;us&nbsp;the&nbsp;details&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;environment&nbsp;you&nbsp;have&nbsp;set&nbsp;up&nbsp;on&nbsp;your&nbsp;computer?&nbsp;We&nbsp;have&nbsp;a&nbsp;virtual&nbsp;machine&nbsp;we&nbsp;use&nbsp;specifically&nbsp;to&nbsp;test&nbsp;non&nbsp;English&nbsp;settings.&nbsp;We&nbsp;will&nbsp;have&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;support&nbsp;guys&nbsp;test&nbsp;this&nbsp;out&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;will&nbsp;let&nbsp;you&nbsp;know&nbsp;what&nbsp;we&nbsp;find.&nbsp;But&nbsp;before&nbsp;we&nbsp;do&nbsp;all&nbsp;that,&nbsp;make&nbsp;sure&nbsp;that&nbsp;you&nbsp;have&nbsp;the&nbsp;references&nbsp;PropertyGridEx.dll&nbsp;and&nbsp;WindowsBase.dll&nbsp;in&nbsp;your&nbsp;project.

Hello&nbsp;there!&nbsp;

&nbsp;Well&nbsp;don’t&nbsp;know&nbsp;if&nbsp;this&nbsp;helps,&nbsp;but&nbsp;in&nbsp;recent&nbsp;days&nbsp;i’ve&nbsp;started&nbsp;a&nbsp;new&nbsp;project&nbsp;an&nbsp;then&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;source&nbsp;code&nbsp;i&nbsp;paste&nbsp;code&nbsp;from&nbsp;other&nbsp;project&nbsp;and&nbsp;when&nbsp;i&nbsp;tried&nbsp;to&nbsp;test&nbsp;it&nbsp;throw&nbsp;me&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;error.&nbsp;So&nbsp;i&nbsp;created&nbsp;another&nbsp;project&nbsp;and&nbsp;aggregated&nbsp;the&nbsp;form&nbsp;wich&nbsp;i’ve&nbsp;pasted&nbsp;the&nbsp;code&nbsp;from&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;project&nbsp;that&nbsp;failed&nbsp;before,&nbsp;start&nbsp;&nbsp;test&nbsp;and…same&nbsp;error&nbsp;so&nbsp;i&nbsp;started&nbsp;another&nbsp;project,&nbsp;(a&nbsp;new&nbsp;one&nbsp;again)&nbsp;and&nbsp;i&nbsp;forgot&nbsp;add&nbsp;the&nbsp;reference&nbsp;to&nbsp;MapSuiteCore.dll&nbsp;when&nbsp;i&nbsp;tested&nbsp;it&nbsp;tells&nbsp;me&nbsp;there’s&nbsp;a&nbsp;missing&nbsp;reference,&nbsp;so&nbsp;i&nbsp;add&nbsp;the&nbsp;reference,&nbsp;test&nbsp;again&nbsp;and…same&nbsp;error&nbsp;don’t&nbsp;know&nbsp;how&nbsp;to&nbsp;verify&nbsp;the&nbsp;reference&nbsp;to&nbsp;NetTopology,&nbsp;in&nbsp;fact&nbsp;i&nbsp;don’t&nbsp;know&nbsp;what’s&nbsp;it&nbsp;used&nbsp;for&nbsp;but&nbsp;it&nbsp;seems&nbsp;that&nbsp;mapSuiteCore&nbsp;calls&nbsp;it&nbsp;in&nbsp;some&nbsp;way…

It&nbsp;seems&nbsp;that&nbsp;the&nbsp;application&nbsp;is&nbsp;unable&nbsp;to&nbsp;find&nbsp;the&nbsp;proper&nbsp;DLLs,&nbsp;“NetTopologySuite.dll”&nbsp;or&nbsp;its&nbsp;dependency&nbsp;“GeoApi.dll”.&nbsp;Can&nbsp;you&nbsp;have&nbsp;a&nbsp;check&nbsp;they&nbsp;exist&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;reference&nbsp;folder,&nbsp;please&nbsp;make&nbsp;sure&nbsp;the&nbsp;“NetTopologySuite.dll”&nbsp;has&nbsp;Version=1.7.3.31740&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;PublicKeyToken=f580a05016ebada1”.  
If&nbsp;it&nbsp;still&nbsp;runs&nbsp;into&nbsp;error,&nbsp;please&nbsp;open&nbsp;the&nbsp;installation&nbsp;“How&nbsp;Do&nbsp;I”&nbsp;samples&nbsp;of&nbsp;DesktopEdition&nbsp;and&nbsp;check&nbsp;if&nbsp;it&nbsp;works.&nbsp;Please&nbsp;replace&nbsp;the&nbsp;DLLs&nbsp;referenced&nbsp;by&nbsp;the&nbsp;“Explorer&nbsp;”&nbsp;project&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;ones&nbsp;used&nbsp;by&nbsp;“How&nbsp;do&nbsp;i”&nbsp;samples&nbsp;if&nbsp;the&nbsp;sample&nbsp;works&nbsp;fine.

&nbsp;This’s&nbsp;a&nbsp;silly&nbsp;question…how&nbsp;do&nbsp;i&nbsp;check&nbsp;the&nbsp;publicKeyToken?&nbsp;  
&nbsp;The&nbsp;“NetTopologySuite.dll”&nbsp;it’s&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;folder&nbsp;that&nbsp;“MapSuiteCore.dll”&nbsp;and&nbsp;“DesktopEdition.dll”&nbsp;and&nbsp;has&nbsp;the&nbsp;version&nbsp;number&nbsp;1.7.3.3174,&nbsp;but&nbsp;don’t&nbsp;know&nbsp;wich&nbsp;PublicKeyToken&nbsp;it&nbsp;has.

&nbsp;&nbsp;I&nbsp;changed&nbsp;the&nbsp;reference&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;DLLs&nbsp;used&nbsp;by&nbsp;the&nbsp;How&nbsp;Do&nbsp;I&nbsp;samples,&nbsp;and&nbsp;now&nbsp;it&nbsp;works,&nbsp;should&nbsp;i&nbsp;replace&nbsp;the&nbsp;DLLs&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;desktop&nbsp;installation(under&nbsp;\Developer&nbsp;Reference)&nbsp;with&nbsp;those&nbsp;in&nbsp;samples\dependencies&nbsp;folder?

Wilmer,&nbsp;&nbsp;

&nbsp;The&nbsp;Dlls&nbsp;provided&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;Samples\Dependencies&nbsp;folder&nbsp;should&nbsp;be&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;as&nbsp;the&nbsp;ones&nbsp;found&nbsp;under&nbsp;Developer&nbsp;Reference&nbsp;if&nbsp;you&nbsp;have&nbsp;an&nbsp;unmodified&nbsp;installation&nbsp;of&nbsp;Map&nbsp;Suite.&nbsp;So&nbsp;there&nbsp;is&nbsp;no&nbsp;reason&nbsp;to&nbsp;copy&nbsp;those&nbsp;dlls&nbsp;unless&nbsp;you&nbsp;simply&nbsp;want&nbsp;to.&nbsp;Normally&nbsp;you&nbsp;should&nbsp;reference&nbsp;your&nbsp;dlls&nbsp;from&nbsp;the&nbsp;Developer&nbsp;Reference&nbsp;folder&nbsp;but&nbsp;there&nbsp;is&nbsp;no&nbsp;rule&nbsp;preventing&nbsp;them&nbsp;from&nbsp;being&nbsp;referenced&nbsp;from&nbsp;a&nbsp;different&nbsp;location.
