I have looked at the projects you have shown me, but they have little to do with the “dynamic legend” described by Eric.
Therefore, there is no real Legend control that refers to the Map control and, AUTOMATICALLY, populates with the map layers, displays their style, allows, customization, on / off and display order .
This is a big limitation which requires a lot of development time.

Yes, it’s not automatic legend, you should want to generate the legend items by your code.
By design the legend layer can only accept the information from map, it cannot collect the information from other layers, only map can do it, all layers are in same level.
In fact to build legend is not hard when you know which layers you are using, if you met any problem try to do that, you can let us know, we will help to solve it.
