# Map Suite Explorer Query Functionallity Not Working on Vista 64 Bit

Hi,&nbsp;I&nbsp;like&nbsp;to&nbsp;use&nbsp;Map&nbsp;Suite&nbsp;Explorer&nbsp;to&nbsp;look&nbsp;at&nbsp;my&nbsp;shapefiles&nbsp;from&nbsp;time&nbsp;to&nbsp;time,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;really&nbsp;like&nbsp;the&nbsp;functionality&nbsp;where&nbsp;I&nbsp;can&nbsp;right&nbsp;click&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;layer&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;right&nbsp;panel&nbsp;and&nbsp;pop&nbsp;up&nbsp;the&nbsp;window&nbsp;where&nbsp;I&nbsp;can&nbsp;write&nbsp;a&nbsp;SQL&nbsp;Query&nbsp;against&nbsp;the&nbsp;DBF&nbsp;that&nbsp;comes&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;shapefille.&nbsp;&nbsp;However&nbsp;since&nbsp;I&nbsp;upgraded&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;64&nbsp;bit&nbsp;OS&nbsp;(Vista),&nbsp;this&nbsp;functionality&nbsp;doesn't&nbsp;work&nbsp;anymore.&nbsp;&nbsp;It&nbsp;says&nbsp;the&nbsp;OLEDB&nbsp;dependencies&nbsp;aren't&nbsp;installed.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Is&nbsp;there&nbsp;any&nbsp;way&nbsp;to&nbsp;fix&nbsp;this,&nbsp;or&nbsp;will&nbsp;the&nbsp;next&nbsp;version&nbsp;that&nbsp;comes&nbsp;out&nbsp;have&nbsp;this&nbsp;issues&nbsp;resolved?

I&nbsp;know&nbsp;Map&nbsp;Suite&nbsp;Explorer&nbsp;can&nbsp;read&nbsp;the&nbsp;DBF&nbsp;somehow,&nbsp;because&nbsp;if&nbsp;I&nbsp;click&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;feature&nbsp;in&nbsp;Info&nbsp;mode&nbsp;it&nbsp;will&nbsp;show&nbsp;the&nbsp;attributes&nbsp;from&nbsp;the&nbsp;DBF.&nbsp;&nbsp;So&nbsp;it&nbsp;seems&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;isolated&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;SQL&nbsp;query&nbsp;part&nbsp;of&nbsp;Map&nbsp;Suite&nbsp;Explorer.

&nbsp;This&nbsp;is&nbsp;an&nbsp;well-known&nbsp;issue&nbsp;to&nbsp;us!&nbsp;We&nbsp;cannot&nbsp;support&nbsp;it&nbsp;unless&nbsp;Microsoft&nbsp;supported&nbsp;it&nbsp;in&nbsp;64-bit&nbsp;operating&nbsp;system.&nbsp;
