# Silverlight Edition client how to edit the SHP file?

To&nbsp;personal&nbsp;answer&nbsp;me&nbsp;if&nbsp;the&nbsp;client&nbsp;does&nbsp;not&nbsp;support&nbsp;shapefile&nbsp;edit,&nbsp;please&nbsp;let&nbsp;me&nbsp;know&nbsp;clearly

We&nbsp;are&nbsp;sorry&nbsp;to&nbsp;say&nbsp;the&nbsp;SilverLight&nbsp;Edition&nbsp;don’t&nbsp;support&nbsp;that&nbsp;feature&nbsp;as&nbsp;we&nbsp;can’t&nbsp;save&nbsp;the&nbsp;modifications&nbsp;back&nbsp;from&nbsp;client&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;shape&nbsp;file&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;server&nbsp;side.&nbsp;But&nbsp;we&nbsp;can&nbsp;view&nbsp;the&nbsp;shape&nbsp;file&nbsp;locally&nbsp;with&nbsp;OOB.&nbsp;Please&nbsp;have&nbsp;a&nbsp;look&nbsp;at&nbsp;[wiki.thinkgeo.com/wiki/Map\_Suite\_Silverlight\_Edition\_Miscellaneous\_Samples#Out\_of\_Browser\_Support](http://wiki.thinkgeo.com/wiki/Map_Suite_Silverlight_Edition_Miscellaneous_Samples#Out_of_Browser_Support)&nbsp;
