# Utilize More Data Formats with the Free FDO Extension

All,

We've&nbsp;just&nbsp;released&nbsp;the&nbsp;new&nbsp;Map&nbsp;Suite&nbsp;FDO&nbsp;extension,&nbsp;which&nbsp;lets&nbsp;you&nbsp;work&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;wide&nbsp;variety&nbsp;of&nbsp;new&nbsp;vector&nbsp;and&nbsp;raster&nbsp;data&nbsp;formats&nbsp;in&nbsp;your&nbsp;Map&nbsp;Suite&nbsp;project&nbsp;by&nbsp;leveraging&nbsp;the&nbsp;open&nbsp;source&nbsp;FDO,&nbsp;OGR&nbsp;and&nbsp;GDAL&nbsp;libraries.&nbsp;&nbsp;This&nbsp;extension&nbsp;comes&nbsp;free&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;latest&nbsp;refresh&nbsp;of&nbsp;Map&nbsp;Suite&nbsp;Web&nbsp;Edition,&nbsp;which&nbsp;we&nbsp;just&nbsp;made&nbsp;available&nbsp;on&nbsp;July&nbsp;23rd.&nbsp;&nbsp;We're&nbsp;really&nbsp;excited&nbsp;about&nbsp;this&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;think&nbsp;you'll&nbsp;be&nbsp;impressed&nbsp;by&nbsp;how&nbsp;easy&nbsp;it&nbsp;is&nbsp;to&nbsp;take&nbsp;advantage&nbsp;of&nbsp;these&nbsp;native&nbsp;C++&nbsp;libraries.
