WmsRasterLayer - MapSuite Unhandled Exception

Ethan,

My server does have a domain name and it has the format of “www.mysite.com:5297”.

Then in your example what is “mine.dtd” ? And where on the server would it be located? Is mine.dtd a file? If so what are the contents and where do I get them?

How does mine.dtd relate to http://schemas.opengis.net/wms/1.1.1/WMS_MS_Capabilities.dtd ?

This is a bit confusing and would appreciate ThinkGeo’s assistance on how to put this together.

Thanks,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,

I means you can download the http://schemas.opengis.net/wms/1.1.1/WMS_MS_Capabilities.dtd or copy all text in it.

Then create your custom WMS_MS_Capabilities.dtd file and save the same content.

Then you can put that in your folder, and the url should looks like: www.mysite.com:5297/WMS_MS_Capabilities.dtd

We hadn’t tested that because we don’t have a server for test now, but I think that should works.

Ethan

hi Ethan,

That helps, thanks.

But how does one download the contents of http://schemas.opengis.net/wms/1.1.1/WMS_MS_Capabilities.dtd ?

I put that in my web browser and it’s blank.

I’m a novice at this so your help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,

I can directly read the file in chrome, as below is the text in it, I just download it.
WMS_MS_Capabilities.dtd.txt (10.5 KB)

Wish that’s helpful.

Ethan

Hi Ethan,

Thanks very much for your help on the DTD. I now have it installed and running on my local server.

Dennis

Hi Dennis,

I am glad to hear that’s helpful.
