Acceleration of drawing a bitmap on the map (e.g. use of drawing pin)

I would like to draw a small bitmap/icon as a pin on the map, anywhere user wants to clik his mouse.  I am using dynamic layer (InMemoryFeatureLayer) but speed of drawing this bitmap between clicking is more than low, but it work so fast as on yours simple examples "ThinkGeo Map Suite 3.0 Sample Application". How drawing the bitmap/icon can be accelerated?
