How large data area should be given for the map that should be drawn to ensure smooth movements and scaling without empty areas?

 Thanks for you interests in MapSuite and welcome you to ThinkGeo MapSuite Desktop Edition forum! 
  
 I think smooth panning will depends on many aspects, for example, the cached turn on or off? The data size? The data complexity? The machine environment?   
  
 Typically, we tested a Winform App with more than 10 GB data , of course, each zoom will only get part of them, when you pan, it still very smoothly especially when the tiles are already cached.
