Adding raster layers (ECW, TIFF) with a different projection and datum

Hi,


I have some raster files ECW and Tiff that are in a certain coordinate system (the projection file is attached).


Both the datum (Bessel_1841) and the projection differ from the base coordinate system of the map (WGS84 geo).


How can i display these layers together with the rest of the layers (i also tried to load only these raster layers and did not see them in the map).

It is not possible to apply a projection to a raster file as you can do with vector data by simply using the Projection projection. You would have to create new raster files using some specific tools such as ERDAS or ask the service of a company specilized in that type of operation. It is always a lot easier to have the vector data reprojected to match the raster file.  
  If you don’t see the map properly after loading the raster layers by themselves, I think that you need to set the MapUnit of the map to meters according to the Bessel 1841 TM Mecedonja projection unit parameter. Not having the MapUnit of the map set correctly is a very common cause of this type of problem.

 I’ve managed to reproject the file with ArcMap and managed to see the image, However the tiff image when viewed in ArcMap is in colors and in Map Suite it is in black and white, when i export the tiff to 3 bands (making it 120MB instead of 42MB) i can see colors in Map Suite. 
 Do you have any ideas? The tif with 1 band uses a colormap (this is what allows it to be shown in colors.

Can you contact ThinkGeo support at support@thinkgeo.com? They will give you the instructions on how to send us the image that is causing the problem. Map Suite may not support colormap yet and we will have our developement team look at that. Thank you.
