This is probably really easy to do, but I can’t seem to find a solution that works like I want it to. Here is my situation.
I have 2 points on the map that are created as features. I then draw a polyline between the 2 pointshapes. When I move one of the pointshapes, I want the line to move as well.
For instance, if I am planning a powerline route, I first place my poles on the map. Then I autodraw my power cables between the poles. I find I have placed a pole too close to a road, so I want to move that pole. When I do that, I want the attached cables to come with it. Currently I am able to move the pole with no issue, but then I have to manually edit the 2 cable lines and move their endpoints to the new location.

Hi Jake
Thanks for your post, would you please try our sample “Track and Edit Shapes” in “Editing Feature Layers” in “HowDoISample”, here is a test video of the sample screencast.com/t/DzQnVHsFIl
Hope it helps

Summer,
Thanks for your reply.
I have looked at that example, but unless there is a different version of that sample that I don’t have, it deals with very simple editing of shapes. The link above didn’t work for me, so I did not get a chance to view the video.
What I am looking to do involves moving 1 feature, but having multiple shapes move with it. Below I will show you what I mean I hope. I am using Visio as my example.
I have 2 rectangles on the page, connected with a line with an arrow on the end
I want to move one of the shapes up 30 feet.
After I move the rectangle up 30 feet, the line between the 2 shapes automatically moves with the rectangle.
Is this possible to replicate with mapsuite editing tools?
