Are there any guidelines on successfully automating testing of mapping implemented in a web app using a tool such as Selenium, or indeed to what degree is it possible?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sure, we did some tests with our own logic and test tools made by ourselves. Such as automatically changing the different extent and zoom levels with WorldMapKit data to test how long it will cost for drawing a image, the memory cost etc. But we haven’t made any tests with 3rd tool Selenium. Can you give us a scenario you are concerning?
