Bing Maps Account ID - how-to?

Hi,


As per the dialog box that opens when adding a Bing Maps overlay, I've created a Bing Maps Account ID. It's a 7 digit numeric.


However, I get a 401 Unauthorized when I enter it into the dialog box and press OK..


What authorization does the GIS Editor send to Bing Maps, and how do I make it work ?

 Thanks for the post! 
  
 Once you have your Bing Account setup you actually have to create a key and that is what you use instead of the Account ID.  To do this Login to the bing map portal and click on the Create or View Keys link under the My Account section.

Thanks, it now works 


However, you might want to change the prompt "Bing Maps App ID" to something like "Bing Maps Key" in the dialog box, just to prevent similar misunderstandings.


I don't regard an "id" and a "key" to be synonymous, especially since there's already another (Bing Maps Account) ID involved.
