Can I get the ELEVATION via MapSuite

I have this main question related to this: 

If I use a Satellite image with the DEM file (digital elevation model) can I get the ELEVATION via MapSuite?

 We don’t support DEM file directly, maybe Fdo extension can open DEM file, but we have never tested that. And we don’t have the API which can get the elevation from DEM file, we just provide the methods to get the common information from satellite image, such as Width, Height which suitable for any images, but elevation is very special, the normal image doesn’t have this attribute. 
   
 We will investigate how to implement it and decide if we would update our MapSuite to support DEM or not.
