Can we have mix of Default Line Style and Custom Point Style on a layer?

I have a question, can we have mix of Default Line Style and Custom PointStyle on a layer?


It seems that if  a Custom style is defined for a Point feature, then we cannot make use of Default Linestyle for line features. We need to define custom style for each of the Point and Line features.

   Are you adding the custom point style to the custom styles collection or are you just setting it on the DefaultPointStyle?  If you are adding it to the custom styles collection then the system will ignore the default styles.  Having said that all you need to do is also add the default line style to the custom styles collection and it should draw both.  If you are just changing the DefaultPoitnStyle and DefaultLineSytle then they should both draw fine.  If you could show me a little source of what you are doing that would be great.  I also assume that in your layer there are lines and points together?

 Thanks for clarification on the behavior. 
  
 1) I do use custom styles collection (one for Points and one for Lines) on a layer in one scenario. 
 2) I do resort to separation of layers for points and lines in another scenario to avoid having to define collection of custom styles (separate for differnt point  feature types and lines).

   No problem…  So is everything working of then?  Multiple DefaultStyles can be in effect without using the custom collection.  If you set the DefaultPointSytle and the DefaultLineStyle it will draw both points and lines.  Just wanted to make that clear.
