May i know what is the advantage or improvement in Dektop Edition 3.0 compare to Dektop Edition 2.0?
I'm using Dektop Edition 2.0 on my previous project. I need to decide on which version to implement my next dektop application.

Following is some ideas you can get about 3.0 version of Desktop Edition.

Besides, I want to add some 4 more about myself opinions!
1) More data formats supported.
Now, we support and are supporting many kinds of data which is unbelievable in MapSuite2.0.
2) More Powerful, easy to extent and write your own Feature Source / Layer/ Style etc. This is very hard in MapSuite2.0. As well in Desktop Edtion, you can create your own InterativeOverlay to customize the Map operations. You can find many very wonderful examples about them in the forum.
3) Multithreaded
This is will make the UI much more responsive.
4) Built in cache system
This will make the Desktop Edition much smoother in operations.
Any all, there are a huge other advantages in MapSuite3.0! You almost can do whatever reasonable you can imagine, no matter it is built in or customized.
