Coordinate system for COGO calls

Hi,

Recently we’ve begun using the COGO objects available in MapSuite to input survey calls. The POB for our data is always in some projected coordinate system, like State Plane. However, if we try to use any coordinates that are not lat-lon we get an error. The MapSuite objects are requiring the coordinates to be entered in lat-lon which does not match our survey data and results in closure errors.

Are there any plans to allow the input of coordinates in non-geographic coordinate systems?

Hi Steve,

For COGO we think by 4326 projection it can do the most accurate calculation, so I think we don’t have a plan for non-geographic coordinate systems support, and you should want to convert them by projection class and convert the result back.
