Hi Guys,


Have been using TinyGeo files for a while (during the beta using the daily builds).


Have just updated our code to use 6.0 and notice a significant change in behaviour.


During the beta a created TinyGeo file had the features in the same order as the shape file from which it was created.  In 6.0 this no longer appears to be the case, we are seeing ‘apparent’ random ordering of the features within the TinyGeo file.  What is causing this?


Can you also explain in detail what the precision double value is and what is does?  Alas the help is not a lot of help!

 Thanks for your post, we do not have any changes can effect this between beta and 6.0, could you please provide a sample to us to recreate this problem? 
  
 Also I want to know what’s different if the order is reversed in your project?

Hi Gary,


The order in which features appear in the shape file is ctitical to the way our software works.  We will re-write things to cope with random ordering of features.


I ask again, can you please explain the precision paramter used when you create a tinygeo file.

 Sorry for delay, first for the precision question, here is the answer I got: 
  
 For model, when you set the precision with 100 meters, that means in a feature, if the distance of one point to the next point is less than 100 meters, the next point would be abandoned during the converting. 
  
 And for your main question, we re-confrimed and don’t find any changes between beta and 6.0, could you please guide me to recreate this?
