Data Security of Geometry Data

I was wondering how i could protect my data to prevent anyone gaining access to the database.


 


Is this possible using web services ? and can the web services be used with the "Map Suite Web Edition" ?

I perform a Spatial query on a Point Feature dataset. 
 I then use the column values from that and then show them in various overlays on a map

 If you did spatial query with your database, that only connect your database in server side, and in client side the user cannot know what is your connection string. 
  
 Which step you think may let someone gaining access to your database?
