Desktop Edition Mini Map

I would like to create a mini map for a WPF map project (desktop edition),


looking at the sample project in the Map Suite Code Community Mini Map Adornment Layer project


this uses the mapengine and static layers -


How would I go about creating a mini map for the desktop edition using a shape file as a new layer

I attached the sample project for the mini map adornment layer, please reference the necessary dlls then copy the same data to the code folder, because the data is too much so that I can not upload them together,
