Display Information By clicking On any Area on map

 Hello,


I am working with city level shape files containing buildings (polygon),roads( lines) etc.


I have to display information of perticular area when i click on that.I have referred the thinkgeo's desktop Edition MapsuiteExplorer sample code.It worked for building,counturs beacuase building and counturs are polygon shape.But its not working when i add Road.shp file of pune city (i.e roads in pune city )as it is showing 2 parellel lines two representing roads.Its showing me an exception as System.ArgumentException and showing error that 'same key is already there'.I didnt understand error.But i add road.shp files of world or any country,at that time code works well without any error.Thae same code i have used from below link.Its information button from that sample code.

I have attached snapshot which give you idea that how my building and roads looks like when i add it on map.


Please help me.

Hello I am not able to attach that file due to limited memory  capacity.


sorry.But i can tell you that my road.shp looks like as two parellel lines having some width.that is ( |   |  )like.plz try to understand.ANd when i click on that it throws exception mentioned in previous reply.


plz help me.

From your description we understand your issue but we can't reproduce it (lack of source file "Road.shp"). Since there is some file size limitation, you can send email to support@thinkgeo.com for further help, then provide us a self-contained sample(along with source file "Road.shp").

Just an FYI, we had problems with a similar situation (click on a feature and get information about the feature). We determined that some lines in our data were actually multi-part lines. So we needed to accommodate that situation and now it works fine.
