Map Suite Support,
My application continues to experience DrawException’s that seem to point to tiling.
My application has only one LayerOverlay that makes use of tiling and that one LayerOverlay has only one layer, which is a MrSid Raster Layer. The application has several other LayerOverlays that contain ShapeFileFeatureLayers and InMemoryFeatureLayers, none of which are cached/tiled.
Attached is a text file which contains a sample exception.
My application compiles with Production 8.0.0.255.
Are there any updates to WpfDesktopEdition that might have solved these exceptions?
Is there a way to trap these exceptions and allow the application to continue to run?
Regards,
Dennis

DrawException -- Tile
Hi Dennis,
Sorry I can’t tell anything from the exception, could you please narrow down this issue by commented our the layerovelay one by one? And you mentioned the cache, could you also make sure the exception is not related with it?
But I think the best way is you can send us a concrete sample for us to recreate it.
Btw, in recent days(maybe in this week), our map suite 9.0 is ready to release, I think you may have a try then with 9.0 to see if it won’t happen with a new version.
Thanks,
Troy
Troy,
This exception is not easily re-creatable as it is intermittent. If it was re-creatable I would send you some code, but since it is not I’ll wait for Release 9.0 and see what happens.

Dennis
Dennis,
The Map Suite 9.0 is released this week and you can try now. thinkgeo.com/download/
You can have both 8.0 and 9.0 installed at the same time so there is no need to uninstall the old product center.
Please let us know if the issue persists.
Thanks,
Troy
Troy,
I’m looking forward to using 9.0. Is it available for download? I cannot find any link on the ThinkGeo website where I can download it.
Thanks,
Dennis
Dennis,
Check this link thinkgeo.com/download/, then click on the Product Center "download now", then you can get the map suite 9.0 product center. With product center, you can download the dlls packages with your account.
Thanks,
Troy
Thanks Troy…I downloaded and installed…Dennis
Dennis,
Please let us know if the issue persists.
