End Editing a Ploygon?

In the DrawEditShapes example, when I add a polygon by clicking the corner points on the map, how can I exit from this mode? I realized that when I press down the shift key and add a new point, then I exit this mode and the polygon is completed. However, in IE this has the side effect that objects on the browser page become multi-selected. What is the correct way to end editing?

 The standard exit function is double click to draw the last vertex.
