Good Morning,
I am new to using Track Shapes. I really like how they look and how easy they are, but I have a question. I didn't find this when I searched, but I apologize if this is a duplicate to another post.
I am wondering if there is an event that fires when a track shape is completed. I know that I can get all the features from the EditOverlay, but I would like to have the user set some properties about each shape as it is defined. Is this possible?

We don't have this event for now. I think it makes sense to add it though and I will write it down on the TODO list. If everything goes fine, I think we will have it in the next version.

We are now working on the optimization of internal architectures and solving issues (especially some tough one, like multi threading). After we get to a milestone we will probably release the next version. I am not sure about the concrete date and I guess it might be the end of Q1, just guess :)

Is this coming any time soon? Not to be pushy, but I would hate to code a work around in the MouseUp event if it wasn't necessary. Thanks.

The new enhancements for the Desktop Edition are taking longer than we expected. What we can do is release a version this week that is the same as the last beta but with these new events. I hope this can hold you over for the next release.

I would definitely like to see this soon also. I have code to work around not having this, but it's not pretty. The event would certainly allow me to clean up my code.

No problem. We had planned to have the RC out before now so this would not have been such a big deal. The hold up is that for the Desktop Edition 3.x we wanted it to really be something special, something way beyond what we had before and something much better than anything on the market.
After the last beta we felt that we missed the target and that it was too much like 2.x with an updated API. In this cycle we really went above and beyond but it has taken some time. I know the Desktop Edition development team here is so excited about the next version that they forgot about the timing and that we needed to get some sorely needed fixes out. We will be releasing them this week as I said before. In the next version, not the one this week, there will be a ton of events especial around track shapes and editing. You will have allot of control at every step of the way. We have some very complex scenarios to comply with so I think you will enjoy the next major build.

That all sounds great, David. Sure, a release with the event thrown in would be great. This product is great and we have some really cool things integrated now that we hadn't before so by moving to Map Suite we are having a good time so far. A trackshape completed event will make just adding a couple little accessory tools a bit easier now so we can bring our new product on level functionality-wise with our old one. The really exciting stuff I'm sure will come with your upcoming releases. Thanks again, David.

Thank you for the email that this file is available to download, however, the file isn’t actually there, it would seem. FileZilla just says <Empty directory listing> where I have seen files for download in the past. Thanks!
