I am looking to develop a desktop application and am looking at the Desktop Suite. I have downloaded the 2 month trial but have not installed it yet. I saw somewhere that there are code examples for many of the features. I am a total noob in regards to mapping systems. I will be developing in VB.NET (2010). Is there a link to the code examples in Visual Basic .NET (not C#) that I can use to download the examples. Most of the examples in the browser that I’ve seen seem to be C# based.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Example code download?
Hi John,
Thanks for trial our product.
For our basic "How Do I Samples", it built both for C#.net and VB.net, you can download it here: wiki.thinkgeo.com/wiki/File:DesktopEdition_HowDoI_VB.zip
Or you can find that after you install our trial edition, please download and install that from Deily Builds, which in the right panel of ThinkGeo Product Center.
The "How Do I Samples" contains the most important features, I think it will be very useful for you.
Any question please let us know.
Regards,
Don

Thank you for the link and the information. I am getting ready to go there now and will probably be installing the trial sofrtware later tonight. I’m hoping that this isn’t too far over my level of competence.
Thanks again.
Hi John,
Don’t worry about the language, in fact c#.net code can be convert to vb.net code easily online, maybe you just need to adjust few code to make it works.
And I think How Do I Samples contains most basic features you need.
Any question please feel free to let us know.

Don
