Google Earth Enterprise server

Hello


Is it possible to change the URL in the GoogleMapOverlay in order to connect to a local Google server ?


For instance we need to access the Gogle Maps data via a Google Earth enterprise server on a private network.


I saw that this is possible with the Web Edition (gis.thinkgeo.com/Support/Dis...fault.aspx)

 Thanks for your post and question; welcome you to ThinkGeo Desktop discussion forum. 
  
 Could you try to use the TiledWmsOverlay or TiledWmsLayer instead of using the GoogleMapsOverlay directly? This is likely you need to setup a wms server on your private network.  
  
 Also another possible solution is trying to use the GoogleMapsLayer instead of GoogleMapsOvelray, there is an event called RequestCreating, in which you can change the url used to fetch image from your private network.

   You left out the critical third option which is for us to expose the URL as a property so it can be changed. :-)  Can you look into that change and include it in the next daily build? If we can’t expose a URL for whatever reason then can we add the event like we do in the layer version and create a small sample for the code community? 
  
 Domenico - We won’t have a way to test it as we do not have a local server for this however you will be able to download this from the daily builds and test it.  We can try and troubleshoot it online here and make changes.
