HaloPen in TextStyle not working with FeatureLayerWpfDrawingOverlay

Hello,

We’ve been using a regular LayerOverlay to hold our InMemoryFeatureLayer, but recently it started leaking a massive amount of handles.
We looked into the forums and found that the handle fix should have been improved with 14.3.2, but we are still on 14.3.1.
Instead, we updated the LayerOverlay to a FeatureLayerWpfDrawingOverlay, which resolved our handle issue.

The only negative effect we see from this now is that our HaloPen is not visible at all.
Our text style is still being applied, we can change the color, font, etc, but setting the HaloPen does nothing anymore.

When we revert to the LayerOverlay, the HaloPen works again, no other code changes.

Is there some additional properties that need to be set to make this work, or is this a known issue?

Hi Aaron,

WpfDrawingOverlay HaloPen support was added since v14.3.2.
The handle leak issue was improved but still has space to improve. It’s on the top of our list.

It is pretty safe to upgrade from v14.3.1 to v14.3.2. Here is the changelog: Changelog - ThinkGeo Docs you can see they’re just over one month apart.

Just let me know if you see any other issues.

Thanks,
Ben
