How to cache a GoogleMapsLayer in Single tile mode?

 Hi All,


When setting the GoogleMapsLayer into single tile mode the layer is no longer cached.


Is there a way of caching the layer when in this mode??

 Thanks for your post, but sorry to say, we don’t support cache in single tile mode, our tile system working with some coordinates that single tile mode can’t do this.

Thanks for the reply, what would be involved if we were to cache the google layer single tile mode ourselves?


I guess what i`m asking is what are the reasons thinkgeo haven`t done this and how difficult it would be to do ourselves?


Maybe implement our own tile cahce system originating from the thinkgeo cash system?

 Because in single tile mode, every time you try to drag the map, even a little distance, it will request the server for new image, which means you need to create a new cache for this "new" image, it will be a lot of cache if you do this way, we are not recommend you do this.
