How to set Restricted extent at client side

Hi,

 I am using  RadSplitter that occupies 100% browser width and  height, RadPane wraps map control and sets its width,height at OnClientResized event. As the browser is setting my map's width and height I want to set  restrictied extent  on client side to current extent of map on page load . When  Rad-splitter re sizes for  the first time I would like to set my  map's restricted extent  to the current extent of map.  I want this function to be called just once on page load not on  postback. How can I set restricted extent to the current extent of the map after/during the page load. My approach as mentioned below didnot work.

Is there any specific function/events that can be used ?
