How to use 'Graphic Card' memory to improve the performance

Hi,

One of my scenario, I am handling Terrain data(Large data).it's taking more time for searching and plotting terrain data.
I tried in many ways to improve the performance like increase configuration.

I have a doubt, If we increase ‘graphic card’ then it will increase the performance.

If it will happen, how could I maintain the ‘Graphic Card’ memory. I mean it’s automatically taking ‘Graphic card’ memory or not.

Please suggest me how can i handle it.

Thanks & Regards,

Riyaz M

Hi Riyaz,

Have you used some special type like wicBitmap?

Because I think most of our layer take the source is CPU but not GPU. So I don’t think it’s related with ‘graphic card’.

Hi Don,
I am not using ‘wicBitmap’.I am using ‘InMemoryFeatureLayer’.
Is it not possible to set ‘layer’ memory taking from ‘GPU’. If it possible tell me how could I do it.
I mean to say, If I increase the ‘Graphic Card’ memory then layer performance will increase or not.

Thanks,
Riyaz

Hi Riyas,

I think the performance bottlenecks for InMemoryFeatureLayer don’t related with “GPU”, so you increase ‘Graphic Card’ shouldn’t helpful.

Hi Don,
Thanks for your reply. it’s helpful to me.
