How to use the dll's of Development Licensed version of Mapsuite Desktop edition installed in one machine in other machines

Hi,


We have bought a licenced version for Mapsuite desktop edition for development.


How do we use it?


Can we use the same dll's on other machines where the product is not installed?


What exactly do we get with the licenced version ?


When I am using the dlls in my project(map suite is not installed on my machine), the I get the fllowing error:


"The GeoCanvas is currently not drawing. Please call the begindraw method beforecalling the method."

 Thanks for your post and questions, welcome you to ThinkGeo desktop discussion forum. 
  
 One license for a Desktop Edition can only guarantee some limit installation on machines , in which the debug functionality should works correctly. To be 100% sure about it, please send mail to our support (support@thinkgeo.com) directly to get exact answer from them. 
  
 In some other machines not installed the product, it can only deploy the application (run it) without the functionality of debug it. 
  
 From the exception description, it seems has nothing to do with the license problem, it is probably give you the hint to call the BeginDrawing first of the canvas.

But the error comes only on the machine where the licensed version is not installed.


We used the dlls from the machine where we installed the licensed version.


We ran same solution on both the machines.

Thanks for your feedback.


Just make sure what you meant about “both the machines” is referring two machines which neither of them has the licensed version been installed?  Have you contacted our support (support@thinkgeo.com) to make sure how many machines can be installed correctly for your license?


Also, could you have a simple try by simply copying all the files needed including the data folder of our HowDoI samples to the unlicensed machine to see if it can run well?
