Hello,
Do you have documentation on how to build application that can be consumed by IPAD/SMART PHONE devices?
If not could you give us some inputs on how to?
thanks a lot.

Jean-Marie,
Thanks for your question on this subject. It’s a very exciting new area that we’ve been focusing on lately. Currently our WebEdition5.0 supports some “touch” events (drag-pan on iOS and Android, pinch-zoom on iOS, double-tap to zoom on iOS and Android). In order to use these features there’s no code changes required on your side. The map will determine which OS/browser is accessing the map and behave accordingly.
We’re currently updating the WebEdition to support all “touch” events. We’re working to make sure all functionality that currently works on a desktop browser also work on a mobile browser’s touch interface. We expect this functionality to be in the daily builds sometime int he next month or two.
We’re also planning to release a Code Community project or set of samples to demonstrate the best practices for developing mobile web applications. This should also be released within the next month or two. These samples will focus on conserving bandwidth by using AJAX callbacks instead of Postbacks and using client side JavaScript to interact with the map.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Phil
