Searching through the documentation, I see that MapSuite can input KML data.
Is it possible to have MapSuite output KML data? In particular I have some trasparent polygons representing GRIB wind speed. I want to trim them to a coastline polygon so they only show the wind over the ocean areas.
Finally I want to display that data within Google Earth so it will need to be a KML/KMZ file on our server so it can automatically refresh.
Is this possible at the moment?

If you want to export, for example, a shapefile to KML so that you can display it on Google Earth, we did a couple of years ago an extension for that purpose. You can find it in that post gis.thinkgeo.com/Support/Dis...fault.aspx. I think this is going to meet your needs.
I want to also let you know that you can do the reverse which is to display a KML file into Map Suite map. We have a sample in the Code Community for that. You can check out the sample. You might be interested wiki.thinkgeo.com/wiki/Map_S..._Extension.

Thanks for the info - I will look into that. Was the KML Server mentioned in 2009 ever completed? I can’t see any info on it.

It has not been made into a formal product yet but I think that with the info and links I sent you, it should be enough to meet your KML needs for both importing and exporting to and from Map Suite map control. Thank you.
