Layer Loading Progress Bar

Is it possible to show a progress bar on the status of WMS layer loading?  Is there an event that is called when the image is finished downloading?  I would want to show this when the layer is first added to the Layers collection and not for each pan and zoom.

 Currently, we don’t have the ability for your requirement in the silverlight edition, because there are no events that is called when the image is finished downloading, we just have the events for drawing images, not downloading events. This is a good idea for us, we will consider add the ability to the next public release.
