Line layer on/off does not work on non-IE browser like Chrome

Hi ThinkGeo,


I have two layers (each in differnt overlays) to display line features and Stop features. The overlays are shown in the switcher so that user can on/off overlay.(See attached sample)


Scenario (on Chrome browser):


1) Initially 4 points and 2 lines are displayed.


2) Turn off the "LinesOvl" in the overlayswticher=> Lines are not displayed


3) Turn on the "LinesOvl" in the overlayswticher=> Lines are displayed in most cases.


Repeat steps 2 and 3. ==> Line are not displayed  even though LinesOvl check box is checked. (see attached jpg file)


 


Note: I am using WebEditionFull4.5.116..

 I have checked your sample code and I found out you used the projection for the InMemoryFeatureLayers and when the overlays refreshed they disappeared, also we found out the problem is still existed in the DesktopEdition, we added the issue to our issue list and this problem will be resolved in the next public release.

 Is it possible  to get fix much before the public release? Daily Production build? 
  
 Also i notice if I were to use WebEditionFull4.5.129 no lines are displayed for any browser that is regression.

We modifed the sample application for you, that works fine for your requirements. You should convert the projection for each point shape so that they can display correctly,

 1) The problem does not get resolved  on WebEditionFull4.5.116. 
  
 2) The solution requires changes to point shape projections which is unacceptable as it going to impact lot of our code.

 We just fixed the bug, please get the latest version from the development branch and try again, I just used the 4.5.149.0 to test, your sample application worked fine,

 The scenario (Chrome browser) I repeat from my initial posting is that after step 3, the Lines are not displayed even with the work around you sent. 
 The workaround is not acceptable because it will impact lot of our code. please  research the problem in the core,

 I’m sorry we just tested the problem on the IE/FireFox browsers, it works fine, today I reproduce your problem on the Chrome browser, as so far, we just tested the web edition based on the IE/FireFox browsers for each package, the problem maybe is from the OpenLayer supports for Chrome browser, we just added this ability to our issue list and will know if there are any updates, 
  
 Also currently please use the IE/FireFox to instead of the Chrome browsers temporary as the workaround,

 I’m sorry to tell you that currently we really don’t have enough time to research this issue, we have a plan to resolve this issue but it is not in this public release, it will be fixed after the May public release then we have enough time to research and resolve it. Please use the IE/FireFox browsers in your application temporarily and keep your eyes on our website if there are any updates for this issue we will let you know.

 Sorry for the inconvenience, for the May release we haven’t include this fix, the reason is that this issue only happened in Chrome. Our development team is looking for a properly solution on that and I didn’t get an exact time plan for this issue. Also if there are any updates I will let you know ASAP,
