Map not displaying without setting extent in silverlight code behind

Hi,

With the previous version of Map Suite silverlight edition 3.0 i was able to set the extent of the map in the aspx code behind itself and not set anything in the silverlight code behind, in order to display the map.

But with the newer version, until i set the extent of the map in the silverlight code behind the map is not displaying.

Y is this happening?

Please guide.

 We don’t understand what you mean that you were able to set the extent of the map in the aspx code behind, as far as we know, if we want to display map, we should set the extent of map in the silverlight code behind. 
  
 If I misunderstand your meaning, please let me know.
