Map performance

Hello


our map perfermoance is slow and we need a way to speed up the performance so that it will load the city with all its layers within 4 sec and zoom in and out smoothly this is not happening now and when try to search for street intersect the search takes about 11.5 sec and we need to reduce that time to 4 sec i read on one post the use of imdisk

 just another question would there be any changes in the code of our project since we have finished coding and this is the last issue we are having before we can but the license having the drawing of the map under 4 sec is important for us in order to buy the license

 I downloaded the dll files and test them in my project but still the loading of the shape file which is about 250 thousand record and still the time was 11 sec its now reduced to 7 sec street intersection reduced to 6  but still we need to reducw thw time more any ideas why we cant reach the 4 sec mark?

 You can get the newest dll from helpdesk.thinkgeo.com —> My Product Downloads—> Daily Development Builds. 
  
 And as I know, there is no breaking changes, you can just change the dlls easily, or if you meet problem after change the dlls, feel free to let us know.

 I changed the dll files the time was reduced from 11 sec to 6 sec but still our max number of records is about 250 thousand why cant we achieve the 4 sec mark could you help me.

 It depends on data, we have tested the shape files for Texas road, I am afraid it probably not achieve the 4 sec mark for other data, but at least we optimize the drawing performance, that’s what we did and the new version of MapSuite will release during May 1st. 
  
 I suggest you can vote this enhancement to helpdesk.thinkgeo.com/EnhancementTracker.   This captures the enhancement request and provides visibility to the customer letting them know that the enhancement is on a list somewhere and that popularity of the enhancement helps set the priority of when the enhancement would be added to the product.  This option doesn’t carry any cost for you.

 Thanks for everything we’re trying to get around the problem of the 4 sec mark through using different zooming levels for different layers and ill defenitly vote for the update thanks alot
