I want to know is Map suit web edition supports on Android ? If no, then which edition will support on Android ?
Map suit web edition support on Android
aa,
Thanks for asking. I am also very interested in Android, we had a rough plan to have a product on it but not in the near future. We planned to have a Map Control for Windows Phone 7 platform first which is also very cool and might be easier for us as it's in Microsoft family, after that I guess it will be Andoid.
By the way, the maps.thinkgeo.com (which is made by Web Edition) displays properly on my android phone (Moto MileStone), as the website is not dedicate for a phone it's difficult you know to zoom in/out or pan on such a small device. I think if we have a good Client Viewer the existing Web Edition should be working smoothly on Android for at least viewing.
Thanks,
Ben
And let’s me just inform that the OpenLayers (ClientSide API) dev team is very focus on touching/mobile using features. So soon the OpenLayers API will be very well adapted.
Good news! we are always keeping an eye on OpenLayers and we’ll take the advantage when they have something.

Any news of ThinkGeo on Windows Phone?
We are porting our WinForms app to Silverlight and Windows Phone. We are well under way on the windows phone app and need to display gis info as well as bing map tiles.

Hi Steve,
The support for mobile platform is already in our working list, we have done lots of tests and we’ll integrate it into our products in the near future. Because there are a great many of enhancements, the timeline is still under discussion. Please keep an eye on this thread, will let you know if we have any progress.
Regards,
Ivan
Hi,
Any news on this ? Is this includes in 6.0 ?
I have a web application (in 5.5) that utilizes an InMemoryMarkerOverlay to display markers, that display information when hovered on.
This feature doesn't work on a tablet, iPad or Android. Touching/clicking on the markers doesn't result in any action.
Any idea how and when this will be achievable ?
Hello Lars I,
Now we just support panning and double-click zoomIn on android platform ,we will do some investigations to check if the lasted android version supports the touch event, if yes, we will finish it in future. but sorry to say we don’t have any plan on it in near future.
Regards,
Gary
