Greetings, Map Suite developers!
We're pleased to announce that we have just released Map Suite 8.0. This new version not only adds new data format support, new built-in layers and a vast selection of other enhancements, but also introduces a new way to install, evaluate and upgrade Map Suite. Our new ThinkGeo Product Center application allows you to download and install just one program, and get instant access to the entire library of Map Suite developer controls for .NET. With Product Center, you can evaluate, activate, get daily builds, browse and open code samples, and more.
Want to start working with Map Suite 8.0? Simply download the ThinkGeo Product Center and get started!
On the feature front, Map Suite 8.0 adds enhancements like:
- Native support for KML, DWG, DXF, S-57, GPX and Tobin BAS data formats
- Integrated NOAA-backed weather station, radar and watch/warning layers
- Ability to reproject Google, Bing and OpenStreetMap layers and overlays
- Support for magnetic declination
- Built in COGO (coordinated geometry) APIs for civil engineers
- And lots more
See our Map Suite 8.0 announcement post for a comprehensive list of changes and new features.
Please note that starting with this release, we have moved the daily builds and your purchased product downloads out of the Customer Portal and into the Product Center application. Now you can activate a developer license or download the last daily build with just one click. Take a look at our Product Center guide to see how it works. Going forward, the Customer Portal will be solely dedicated to the support ticket system.
