Map Suite with no internet connection in a disconnected environment

We have a closed network which will not be connected to the internet at all .


1.What options do I have in terms of choosing a Map suite product.


2.Obviously  Not all the demos do not work in this environment . So do I have to purchase your map data for doing anything reasonable in addition to the .NET component. 

Do you have any good samples which work in a disconnected environment.


2. We have a VB.NET winforms application so the obvious choice is the Desktop version. But the ASP.NET version looks cool and has more appealing familiar interface to the users. Will the ASP.NET version be a good choice in this environment ?

 Thanks for your post and question; Welcome you to ThinkGeo Desktop Discussion forum. 
  
 There are 4 MapSuite products you can consider against, that is WinformsDesktop, WpfDesktop, Web, Sliverlight component. I think all of them can be somehow used in your environment based on what kind of requirements in your application. Personally, it would be easier to develop a Web or Silverlight application than a desktop one as it does not need services behind it. 
  
 Besides, all of them can be developed both in C# or VB.net depending on your favorite.

 Thanks for the response.  Here are a few more questions  
 1. Does the web version of Map suite work well with World Map Kit SDK  in a disconnected environment behind Citrix . 
 2. Also, Mappoint Vs MapSuite what are the pros and cons. other than the cool factor.

 Thanks for your post and questions. 
 1)We have a separate product called WorldMapKit which can integrate with ServiceEdition, DesktopEdition and WebEdtion seamlessly; you definitely can work with it in Web Edition in your disconnected environment. 
 2)I have no experience using MapPoint, as far as I know, the Microsoft MapPoint is a ActiveX or COM control, while our Map Suite component is a pure .net mapping component which is easier to develop against and maintain.
