Mapsuite offline

Hi,


 


I'm currently using the evaluation copy of map suite desktop edition, when i disconnect my internet connection the maps that i've loaded into the control no longer appear? I just get a red cross?


Does the Destop Edition of the map control require an internet connection?

No, Map Suite Desktop does not require to be connected to the internet. Many samples of the "How Do I" use the WorldMapKitWMS overlay for having  the world map as a background. It is a web service. You can choose not to use that overlay and use only local layers when not connected to the internet.
