Mini Map when Enabled comes up Grey'd out?

Hi,


I've created my Map with all layers from shapefiles.  I've added all the layers to the map and it displays correctly. I then tried to activate the Mini Map tool and it just comes up Blank and Grey'd out.  


Any thoughts on why this would be?

I tried using the Minimap as well and it did not work.  I later found out that the Minimap will not work if the map unit is Meter (GoogleMap/Bing) which I was using.  I dont know if that is the case for you.

 Can you post several codes or a demo about how you are using? Does the installation sample “Samples/NavigateTheMap/MiniMap.aspx” work with you? Just based on your description, it’s hard for us to determine what cause this issue.Hope your further information.

We had a similar problem, and we discovered that the Openlayers minimap would only show data that was loaded into the StaticOverlay (we were using CustomOverlay). You might be encountering the same problem

Hi, Daniel
It’s not a bug, and it’s designed like this way.
The mini map only shows the base layer on the main map, so if you dump your layers into LayerOverlay which you have set as none base overlay and then you can’t see it in the mini map control.
The StaticOverlay is base overlay by default, so it can be displayed in the mini map control.
I guess Kevin has the same problem with you.
