Is it possible to move the CadFeatureLayer after adding it to the map?
The reason for doing this is that I have a dwg file and as far as I can understand there is normally not any positioning information available in Cad files. Likewise I do not have any projection available.
When I load the dwg file on top of e.g. the Bing layer I can see that it is positioned in the wrong part of the world (as expected) and it would be nice if I could drag (or move it somehow) to the correct position and then make it stay there.
Moving CadFeatureLayer after adding it
Hi Morten,
Thanks for let us know you question, but this scenario is harder than forum topics.
This function looks like be a small widget, and I think it should be a professional service question.
So if you want to implement this, please contact sales@thinkgeo.com for detail.
Thanks,
Hi Don
Thank you for your reply.
From other forum posts I could also see that there were challenges when working with the CadFeatureLayer.
So an answer saying this is not easy to do is fine while we test your SDK.

Hi Morten,
I am sorry to know our CadFeatureLayer cannot easily implement your requirement.
Some of our developer thought you want to compare the dwg shapes to bing shapes so that you can find what’s the projection, so we reply you that’s should be a professional server, because they thought it maybe can be implemented. But today I thought maybe what you also need to adjust shapes offset and edit the dwg file, because we only support read and render dwg but not support edit it, so if your requirement include this part, that cannot be implemented for now.
The Cad is a new part of our product, we are keep enhancement it but till now it wasn’t so well just like Shape File support. If you have any suggestion or requirement please feel free to let us know, we will try our best to let our map control better and better.
Regards,
Don
