MapSuite Team,
I’ve encountered an exception that is related to MrSid Layers. I’ve been adjusting the Scales of ZoomLevel’s and have encountered a System.AccessViolationException when a Scale of 2000 is used for ZoomLevel17. A log of the exception is attached.
The exception is encountered in a limited number of map extents.
If the MrSid Layers are made InVisible the exception does not occur.
The exception is preceded by a DrawingException & DrawnException on the MrSid Layer both stating “Out of memory”.
The exception does not occur if the ZoomLevel17 Scale is set to 2100 or 1900.
Your assistance is appreciated.
Thanks,
Dennis

MrSid -- AccessViolationException
Hi Dennis,
Sorry that we are unable to recreate it in our end, would
you please update a demo Mrsid file to us, you can send it to forumsupport@thinkgeo.com or ask support@thinkgeo.com a FTP address. Also
would you list the exception extent here?
Thanks,
Johnny
Also would you please let me know which version of MapSuiteCore.dll you are using, and which version of the MapSuiteUnmanagedDependencies.msi you are using? The version of Msi should be available in the "Program Installation List".
Thanks,
Johnny
Johnny,
Attached are two screen shots of the properties for MapSuiteCore and GeoRasterX86.
Are these versions that have all issues resolved?
In early August I was working with Troy on resolving issues with the MrSid’s. Maybe another surfaced and using a later version will resolve my situation.
If there are later versions I should be using let me know otherwise I can upload the MrSid that is giving me this unusual trouble.
Thanks,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for your further information, I guess you are using the latest version of MapSuiteCore, but not sure the version of “Map Suite Unmanaged Dependencies *.msi”, please try removing the files in the picture “GeoRasterX86Properties.png”, then download and install a latest Map Suite Unmanaged Dependencies 9.0.65.0.msi at ap.thinkgeo.com:5001/fbsharing/s6kOCBP4 to have a try. If still doesn’t work, I guess we need your demo data.
Thanks,
Johnny
Johnny,
I just attempted to access the link you provided for the MapSuite Unmanaged Dependencies and it gave an error message saying “Status Expired”.
Would you please provide another link to the latest?
Also, would you make these DLL’s available in a zip file as opposed to an msi as I would simply like to copy them to the target directory? What is your recommendation?
Thanks,
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
The MapSuite Unmanaged Dependencies 9.0.126.0.msi can be downloaded from ap.thinkgeo.com:5001/fbsharing/sxsVbCit
The dll package can be downloaded from ap.thinkgeo.com:5001/fbsharing/P6F62cTx
Thanks,
Don,
Thank you for the links.
How important is it to continually keep the below dll’s updated?
06/22/2015 04:59 AM 421,200 msvcp100.dll
06/22/2015 04:59 AM 743,760 msvcp100d.dll

Hi Dennis,
The Mrsid format depends on the third part dlls which are provided by Lizard company, these third part dlls are build by msvc version v100, so, msvcp100.dll, msvcp100d.dll, msvcr100.dll and msvcr100d.dll are required.
Thanks,
Don,
I am now using the latest GeoRasterX86 DLL’s. However, the AccessViolationException is still being encountered.
I’d like to remind you that I did not encounter these under V8.
Attached is what I have captured from my logs.
Please look into this as it is a real issue for my users.
Regards,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,
Sorry that we cannot reproduce the issue. Could you please send the Mrsid data to forumsupport@thinkgeo.com? If the size is limited please transfer it by FTP. More information about “sending data to support” please see here.
Thanks,
Peter,
I’ve just emailed support@thinkgeo.com requesting an FTP account.
My MrSid’s total 11GB.
Thanks,
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
The reproducible Mrsid data is required, you can upload it to the FTP. I will download it and try to reproduce it.
Thanks,
