New Version and iPads and SmartPhones

Hi,


Just updated my web software to work with the new release 7.0.


The desktop version works fine, but when I load the website in an iPad or a SmartPhone, the map does not display - it is just a gray screen.


Any suggestions? Do I need to do something else?

Hi Treasa, 


We are sorry the upgrade brings your new troubles. But, before we release the Map Suite 7.0, we have tested our HowDoISample on IPad and some Smartphones and the test result seems good. So, could you please provide more information for us, like if the width/height of map is "n%" or what's the DocType you are using?, IIS version, Framework, OS, etc. or could you try it with our HowDoISample under your environment to let us know if there is any problem? if possible, a “self-contained” sample is highly appreciated.

Hi Johnny,


I am attaching my Visual Studio project as well as the web.comfig file I am using on my production server. I have made the sample so that it only shows the map - nothing else. Again, the map displays fine on a desktop browser, but I still get a gray screen where the map should be on iPads and smartphones.


The website is online.rmetrix.com. If you navigate to it from a desktop versus a iPad/smartphone you can see what I mean.


Our production server is Windows Server 2012 Standard. We are using IIS Version 8.0.9200.16384. We are using .NET 4.0 framework.


Can you please review the attached information, and see if it gives you any insight? Just FYI - everything was working well in 6.0, I just updated the references in my project to 7.0 - I made no code changes, and then deployed it to the production server. That's when I noticed the map wasn't displaying on iPads and smartphones.

Hi Treasa,
 
Thanks for reporting this, we have fixed it, but right now, the code is frozen for some amendment in 7.0 release, so the newest dlls will be available in a couple of days. Would you please wait some days for the new dlls? I will let you know then.
