NOOA Possible bug
Hi
I put the screen copy inside the attachments but cannot see it ???
Jm,
Thanks for you reporting the issue, but would you please provide the extent of this area in the screenshot so that we can recreate it? or attached some codes?
Regards,
Johnny
Just create a sample web page with both radar and station layer then zoom in / out . I think the issue is linked with the cluster style used for the weather icons … There is a case where some internal table or structure seems too small…
Hi Jm,
I still can’t recreate the issue no matter how I zoom in/out and we are also not using the cluster style in those layers. I also searched the exception and it seems related with threads.
Would you mind to take a video to capture how the issue happened so that we can see this behavior?
Thanks,
Johnny
Jm,
We are looking into this. While we don’t use the cluster style we are doing a bit of logic so that we always display less than a certain number of stations at any extent and also sort them by station priority order so the highest profile stations show first.
Thanks

Jm,
On another note this is all really new and hasn’t been thoroughly tested with all the product edition, as you have found out. Also I didn’t know if you had seen the new stuff on weather alerts but it is pretty cool as well. You can check it out at the link below.
If there is any other weather related features you are interested in let us know!

Hi David,
COOOOOLLLL!!!I could have some use right away . Could you provide a quick and dirty sample???
I think that you could extend the concept to things like world alert about food safety, decease,…
thanks a lot.

Jm,
Working up a sample. Currently the data is being derived from NOAA but if you have public sources of other spatial alerts please let me know and we can get them integrated.
Thanks,
David Rehagen
Jm,
Attached is the NoaaWeatherAlerts sample using the Map Suite MVS Edition. One thing to note is that the first time you runt he sample wait until you can see the map render before you stop the program. One problem we found is that the first time you run the feature we download a US counties shapefile and if you stop the program before it gets done it puts things in a corrupted state and will display errors. If that happens below is the path it puts the files and you need to delete them. The shapefile is countymerged.shp. We will be fixing this bug soon. We will be posting samples of the various weather related features on our wiki as soon as we can. It’s just been so busy around here on the iOS and Android versions of Map Suite.
